Joe has been working relentlessly to prepare for his upcoming solo show in Durham, NC at the Liberty Arts Center. "Structured As Such: Architecture of Oppression," will open February 15th with storyteller, Carolyn Evans, steel drum musician, Wilton DuBois, and the NCCU Brass Ensemble. This show continues to gain momentum the closer we get to the opening. There is going to be a Spike Lee film festival running in conjunction to the exhibition, a food oppression talk, and a panel discussion featuring African Studies professors from NC State. All of this is emerging through the inspiration of Joe's work.
Needless to say, we are overjoyed by the response and support of the greater Durham area and the Liberty Arts Center. I cannot wait to see the show come together in this way. I hope that you can join us for the reception on February 15th at 6:30 pm. Please visit the Liberty Arts Center website for more information:
Above I've included a link to a video of Joe's radio interview discussing the upcoming exhibition. We hope to see you there!
