Plus-Size Models Needed
I am a female ceramic sculptor seeking four plus-size models of 200 lbs or more between the ages of 20 to 30 years old. I'm specifically looking for two Caucasian models, one African American model, and one model of Middle-Eastern descent. Models will be required to pose nude for a new series of work addressing women's issues in relationship to the American food industry. Models will be paid $12 an hour for their time. Please feel free to contact me through email or my website:
Thank you for your interest!
This summer I had the great pleasure of working with artist, Beth Cavener Stichter for two months in Garfield, WA. My time with Beth allowed me to better understand the complexities of the life of a professional artist in the field of ceramics. She is an expert in her craft and a master of expression. Words cannot begin to describe how thankful I am for the time I got to spend with her, her husband, and all the other interns that made her recent show at the Claire Oliver Gallery in Chelsea, NY possible.
The following video offers a glimpse of my experience in Washington with of of these wonderful people. This video is for all of you. Thanks for everything.
During the last weekend of March, I had the privilege of attending the 2012 NCECA conference in Seattle, WA. Not only did I attend the conference as a member, but also as an exhibitor in the National Student Juried Exhibition on the University of Washington campus. "All the Better to Love You With," was displayed front and center at the entrance of the Jacob Lawrence Gallery, where it received the Retired Professor's Award from artist, Mark Burns.
This was my first time attending NCECA and I was overjoyed with all the incredible contemporary ceramic work displayed throughout the beautiful city of Seattle. I look forward to future conferences and any opportunity to return back to the west coast.
